音楽を使った空間デザイン。
UDS株式会社が手がける「ONSEN RYOKAN 由縁 札幌」の1F 和食レストラン「夏下冬上 札幌」の音楽。

ブランドとしての統一感を出すため、新宿で行なった「ひとつの楽器（ギター）のみで朝・昼・夜を表現する」という音楽コンセプトを引き継いだ。

楽曲構成は、北海道の動物、またアイヌ音楽などから着想を得たフレーズを散りばめ、北海道/札幌ならではの音楽表現を目指し、地域に由来する素材を落とし込んだホテルデザインとの親和性を持たせることで、複層的でサイトスペシフィックな空間を作った。また、隣接する1F レセプションと楽曲の調性を合わせ、ふたつのスペースを行き来する際にも音楽のグラデーションが生じるように演出した。

Music for a restaurant of ONSEN RYOKAN YUEN SAPPORO "KAKATOJO" which is designed by UDS Ltd.

In order to create a sense of unity as a "YUEN brand", we inherited YUEN SHINJUKU's musical concepts of "Express each season using only one instrument."

We aimed to express music unique to Hokkaido by sprinkling phrases inspired by the nature of "Botanic Garden Hokkaido University," "Maruyama," and "Sapporo City," as well as Ainu music, according to the four seasons, and we created a site-specific space with an affinity with hotel design. In addition, we matched the tonality of the music with the reception on the 1st floor adjacent to the restaurant, and produced a gradation of music when customers went back and forth between the two spaces.
