複数の音楽/スピーカーを使った空間デザイン。
池尻大橋にある「髙崎のおかん」の音楽。

店内を料理や燗酒を振る舞うための舞台（非日常な空間）と捉え、5曲（天井スピーカーから流れる2曲、店内3ヶ所から流れる3曲）制作。調性（音楽のキー）のみ合わせたそれぞれの音楽は、長さが異なり、それぞれが独立して流れ、常にズレながらも重なり調和し合うことで、空間の中でひとつの音楽として完成する。

＜オリジナルバージョン＞

＜#1（天井スピーカー）＞
コンセプトは「火を入れる」。舞台背景をイメージしたアコースティックギター、同一リズムを反復するマリンバ、能楽の囃子を模した電子ドラム、茶道の湯相を模した5種類のノイズ（ブラウンノイズ～ピンクノイズ～ホワイトノイズ～ブルーノイズ～バイオレットノイズ」、オーナー髙崎丈氏に縁ある双葉町の「双葉町民の歌」「ふたば音頭」から着想した旋律などを使用。音色を段々と変化させつつ、ボレロや序破急のようにテンポや音量を徐々に上げ、長い時間をかけて静かに盛り上がっていく、茶室や能楽のような雰囲気を現代的に表現。楽曲終了後の無音が引き立つ、序曲のような音楽を目指した。

＜#2（天井スピーカー）＞
コンセプトは「火を止める」。舞台の幕引きをイメージしたマリンバの落しのリズム、舞台背景をイメージしたアコーステックギター、蒸気が立つ鍋に蓋をするようなイメージのアナログシンセサイザー、オーナー髙崎丈氏に縁ある双葉町の「双葉町民の歌」「ふたば音頭」から着想した旋律などを使用。落しのリズムから始まり、後半になるにつれ、3台の小型スピーカーから流れる音楽をエンディング曲にも配置し、まるで茶室から退出して飛び石を渡り庭に出るような演出を音楽で目指した。

時を知らせる鐘をイメージした、12分サイクルで鳴るマリンバの和音。

＜#4（奥）＞
茶室の庭の、木々のざわめきや鳥の声をイメージした、エレキギターとシンセサイザーの楽曲。

＜#5（手前）＞　
飛び石を渡ることをイメージした、エレクトリックピアノの楽曲。

＜夏季バージョン＞

 

＜#1（天井スピーカー）＞

コンセプトは「涼を感じる」。マンドリン、エレクトリックギター、シロフォン、チェロ、スチールパン、パーカッションなどを使用。打ち水や風鈴によって感じる涼、昔の日本家屋内の少し薄暗くひんやりとした雰囲気や風が通り抜けていく様子を音楽で表現した。

 

＜#2（天井スピーカー）＞

コンセプトは「祭りあと」。クラリネット 、アコースティックギター、スチールパン、ピアノ、太鼓などを使用。祭りの後の余韻や少し寂しげで涼やかな雰囲気や、情景（夕暮れ、新緑の草木が生茂る雰囲気）を音楽で表現した。

 

＜#3（中央）＞

水琴窟をイメージした、20分サイクルで鳴るシロフォンの即興フレーズ。

 

＜#4（奥）＞

春〜夏にかけての鳥の鳴き声（ツツドリ、カッコウ、コチドリ、キビタキ、オオヨシキリ）をギターで表現。また、モジュラーシンセサイザーを使用し「夏の風」をドローン風に表現した。

 

＜#5（手前）＞

春〜夏にかけての鳥の鳴き声（ヒバリ、コムクドリ、カワラヒワ、ウグイス、センダイムシクイ）をギターで表現。また、モジュラーシンセサイザーを使用し「風にそよぐ木々の揺らぎ」を有機的に表現した。

Spatial design using multiple music/speakers.
Music for small restaurant "Takasaki no Okan" in Ikejiri-Ohashi.

We made 5 songs for the restaurant, in likeness of a stage (extraordinary space). The 5 songs are always out of sync, but in harmony with each other, they are completed as one piece of music in the space.

＜Original version＞

＜#1 (Ceiling Speaker)＞
The concept is "Putting on the Fire". Using acoustic guitar like a stage background, repetitive marimba, electronic drums imitating rhythm of Noh Music, 5 types of noise imitating the tea ceremony,the melody quoted from "Futaba townspeople's song" and "Futaba Ondo" related to the owner Takeshi Takasaki. We modernize a Noh-like atmosphere that quietly livening up gradually, and aimed for overture-like music that emphasizes the silence after the song ends.

＜#2 (Ceiling Speaker)＞
The concept is "Putting Out the Fire". Using marimba rhythm like end of the stage, acoustic guitar like a stage background, analog synthesizer like putting a lid on a steaming pot, the melody quoted from "Futaba townspeople's song" and "Futaba Ondo" related to the owner Takeshi Takasaki. Beginning with the marimba rhythm, as the latter half of the song, the phrases played from the 3 small speakers are placed in the ending song. Using music, we created an atmosphere that made you feel as if you were left the tea room, crossed stepping stones, and went out to the garden.

Marimba chord song rings in a 12-minute cycle inspired by a bell that tells the time.

＜#4 (Back)＞
Electric guitar and synthesizer song inspired by the noise of trees and the voice of birds in the garden of the tea room.

＜#5 (Front)＞
Electric piano song inspired by crossing stepping stones.

＜Summer version＞

＜#1 (Ceiling Speaker)＞

The concept is "Feel Cool". The instruments are mandolin, electric guitar, xylophone, cello, steel pan, and percussion. The music expressed the coolness felt from Uchimizu (sprinkling water) and wind chimes, the slightly dim and cool atmosphere of an old Japanese house, and the wind blowing through the house.

 

＜#2 (Ceiling Speaker)＞

The concept is "After the Festival". The instruments are clarinet, acoustic guitar, steel pan, piano, and drums. The music expressed the aftermath of the festival, a slightly lonely and cool atmosphere, and the scene (dusk, fresh green grass and trees).

 

＜#3 (Center)＞

Improvised phrase on a xylophone that sounds in 20-minute cycles, inspired by a water kettle.

 

＜#4 (Back)＞

Birdsongs from spring to summer (wood thrush, cuckoo, piping plover, yellow-rumped warbler, and great reed warbler) are expressed with guitars. The modular synthesizer is used to express the "summer wind" in a drone-like style.

＜#5 (Front)＞

Birdsongs (lark, starling, kingfisher, warbler, warbler, and sandpiper) from spring to summer are expressed with guitars. The modular synthesizer is used to organically express the "swaying of trees in the wind.
