​音楽を使ったプロダクトデザイン。音楽付き日時計。

「キンミライガッキ現代支部」とコラボレーションした、開発中のプロジェクト。

​​​

古代より人間が興味を持ち続けてきた太陽と時間。その原初の形ともいえる日時計を時間によって変化する音楽を使って新たに表現。

現代人の時間軸とは異なる、プリミティブで雄大な時間の流れを自分の生活空間に取り込む、新しい音楽の楽しみ方を提案する。

公共空間やホテル、オフィス、別荘、住宅などの窓辺に置き、太陽の動きに合わせて、日時計のように音盤の針の影が動いていく。光センサーユニットのそれぞれの位置に影が移動することで、07:00/10:00/13:00/18:00など、各時間帯の楽曲が正時を知らせる時報のように流れる。

「Music Sundial」は、オープンイノベーション型のプロジェクトとして、共創パートナーを募集しています。
音響機器メーカー、素材開発メーカー、建築事務所、大学・研究機関、地方公共団体、デザイナー、アーティストなど、それぞれの専門性を持った法人・個人との幅広いコラボレーションを歓迎します。

 

現在、プロトタイプの設計・検証を進めており、本プロトタイプを発展させたプロダクトデザインや空間デザイン、内装デザインなど、様々な展開も考案中です。音楽と時間、太陽の可能性に着目し、未来の音楽の在り方・楽しみ方を追求していきます。

Product design using music.

Project in development, in collaboration with "FANCY FUTURE Instruments ltd.".

The sun and time have interested humans since ancient times. The sundial, the primitive form of the sun, is newly expressed using music that changes with the time. This product proposes a new way to enjoy music, incorporating the primitive and majestic flow of time into one's living space, which is different from the time axis of modern people.

Placed on the windowsills of public spaces, hotels, offices, villas, residences, etc., the shadows of the hands of the sound board move like a sundial in accordance with the movement of the sun. As the shadows move to the respective positions of the light sensor units, music for each time zone, such as 07:00/10:00/13:00/18:00, is played like a time signal to announce the time of day.

"Music Sundial" is an open innovation type project, and we are looking for co-creation partners.
We welcome a wide range of collaborations with corporations and individuals with their own expertise, including acoustic manufacturers, material manufacturers, architectural firms, universities and research institutes, local governments, designers, and artists.

 

We are currently in the process of designing and verifying a prototype, and we are also devising various developments such as product design, spatial design, and interior design that will expand on this prototype. Focusing on the possibilities of music, time, and the sun, we will pursue the way music should be and be enjoyed in the future.
