​

複数の音楽/スピーカーを使った空間デザイン。
建築設計事務所「EA Research and Design Office」が企画運営する「異人池建築図書館喫茶店」の音楽。

​​

音楽のコンセプトは「異人池」「ケヤキ」「どっぺり坂」。異人池の成り立ちや周辺環境から着想を得て、7曲制作。本棚上段のスピーカーと店内に点在させた小型スピーカー9台から再生。それぞれの曲はズレ続けながらも調和し合い、いる場所によって聴こえ方がグラデーションのように変化する。心地よい静けさを感じられる、有機的な音楽空間を作った。

 

また、カトリック新潟教会で録音したパイプオルガンの音や教会の鐘の音、窓から見えるケヤキのざわめき、どっぺり坂を走る足音、寄居浜の海の音、西海岸公園の鳥の声、古町商店街の雨音など、建築にゆかりのある周辺の環境音が楽曲内に散りばめられている。

​＜#1 / 本棚上＞

ピアノ、カトリック新潟教会で録音したパイプオルガンや鐘の音、教会内の空間の音を使用。神秘的なピアノの旋律や、教会で歌われているミサの曲を再解釈したオルガンのフレーズを入れた楽曲。鐘の音は1時間ごとに時報的な機能として鳴る。また、#2と#3の楽曲要素の一部をミックスした。

​＜#2 / カウンターテーブル下＞

石琴、木琴、マリンバ、どっぺり坂を走る足音や石が転がり落ちる音を使用。レンガ造を音楽で表現した、深淵な楽曲。

​＜#3 / 柱前＞

アコースティックギター、窓から見えるケヤキの葉や枝が風で揺れる音を使用。周期的に鳴る和音と環境音を組み合わせた、静謐な楽曲。

​＜#4 / トイレ＞

ピアノ、オルガン、マンドリン、アコースティックギター、シンセベース、バイオリン、パーカッションなどを使用。どっぺり坂や窓から見えるケヤキを音楽で表現。不規則な静けさと動きを組み合わせた、少し神秘的な楽曲。

寄居浜の波の音やマリンバ、クラリネットを使用。石がコロコロ動いたり、風が吹いている様子を音楽で表現した楽曲。

​＜#6 / 本棚下＞

新潟市の西海岸公園の森で録音した、鳥の鳴き声や木々のざわめき、アコースティックギターのハーモニクスやアルペジオを使用。森林の静寂さを音楽で表現した楽曲。

西海岸公園の森で録音した、鳥の鳴き声や木々のざわめき、古町商店街の雨音、アコースティックギターのアルペジオ、様々なパーカッションを使用。森のざわめきを音楽で表現した楽曲。

Spatial design using multiple music/speakers. Other design using music.
Music for the "Ijin-Ike Architecture Library Cafe" planned and operated by the architectural design office "EA Research and Design Office".

​

​The music concepts are "Ijin-Ike", "Keyaki tree" and "Dopperi-Hill". Inspired by the origins of Ijindoike and the surrounding environment, we composed 7 songs. The music was played from the speakers on the upper parts of the bookshelf and 9 small speakers scattered throughout the cafe. Each piece harmonized with each other while continuing to shift, and the sound changed like a gradation depending on where you were. We created an organic musical space with a pleasant sense of serenity.

 

​We also interspersed in the music the sounds of the surrounding environment associated with the architecture, such as the pipe organ and church bells recorded at the Niigata Catholic Church, the rustling of the Keyaki tree seen outside the window, the sound of footsteps running down Dopperi-Hill, the sound of the ocean at Yorii-Hama, the birdsong at Nishikaigan Park, and the rainfall at Furumachi Shopping Street.

​<#1 / Bookshelf (upper parts)>
The instruments are piano, pipe organ and bell sounds recorded at the Niigata Catholic Church, and we used the sounds of the space inside the church. The music includes mystical piano melodies and organ phrases that are reinterpretations of mass songs sung in the church. The bell rings every hour as a time signal function. Also, some of the musical elements of #2 and #3 were mixed.

<#2 / Under the counter table>

The instruments are lithophone, xylophone and marimba, and we used the sound of footsteps running and stones rolling down the hill on the Doppeli-Hill. The music is a profound piece expressing brick construction.

<#3 / In front of pillar>

The instrument is acoustic guitar, and we used the sound of the leaves and branches of the Keyaki tree seen from the window swaying in the wind. The music is tranquil piece combined periodic chords and environmental sounds.

<#4 / Restroom>

The instruments are piano, organ, mandolin, acoustic guitar, synth bass, violin, and percussion. The music expressed the Dopperi-Hill and the Keyaki tree seen from the window, and has a bit mysterious, combining irregular stillness and movement.

<#5 / Top of the stairs, In front of pillar>

The instruments are marimba and clarinet, and we used the sound of the waves of Yorii-Hama. The music expresses the stones rolling around and the wind blowing.

<#6 / Bookshelf (lower parts)>

The instruments are harmonics and arpeggios of acoustic guitar, and we used the sound of birdsong and the rustle of trees in the forest of Nishikaigan Park. The music expresses the silence of the forest through music.

The instruments are arpeggios of acoustic guitar and various percussions, and we used the sounds of birdsong, rustling trees in the forest of Nishikaigan Park, and rain in the Furumachi shopping street . The music expresses the rustle of the forest through music.
