複数の音楽/スピーカーを使った空間デザイン。

箱根・芦ノ湖畔にオープンした、ドッグフレンドリーホテル「RETONA HAKONE（リトナ箱根）」の音楽。

​​

音楽コンセプトは「フレンドリー」「ボーダレス」「ナチュラル」。

犬の可聴域や聴覚特性をふまえた音域や落ち着くテンポを取り入れつつ、内装デザインと調和するような自然由来の楽器を使用。

 

人間も犬も落ち着いて快適に過ごせるような、この場所ならではの自然あふれる空気感と高級感のある洗練された雰囲気の両立を目指した。それぞれの楽曲はズレ続けながらも調和し合い、空間同士がつながり、外部と内部が曖昧になるような音楽体験が形作られる。

また、館内各所の小型スピーカーや人感センサー付きスピーカー、客室TVの音楽は四季に合わせて更新予定。

マリンバ、クラリネット、アコースティックギターを使用。箱根神社の朝の静けさや、澄んだ空気感や雰囲気を音楽で表現。単音のマリンバのぽつぽつとしたフレーズや、朝の鳥の鳴き声をイメージしたギターの演奏などを織り交ぜた、穏やかで安らかな雰囲気の楽曲。

 

#2 / 昼 12:00-18:00

アコースティックギター、ピアノ、バイオリン、サックス、パーカッションなどを使用。芦ノ湖周辺の豊かな大自然を音楽で表現。透明感のある和音や晴れやかな空気のような音色をベースに、動きのあるフレーズを時折織り交ぜた、ひらけた雰囲気の楽曲。

 

#3 / 夜 18:00-24:00

ピアノ、マリンバ、アコースティックギター、ハープなどを使用。芦ノ湖の波や水を音楽で表現。ゆっくり広がる湖の波紋をイメージしたギターのトレモロや、夕方～夜にかけて変化する湖の色（ブルー、ネイビー）をスティールパンのフレーズで表現。夜の落ち着いた芦ノ湖の雰囲気を音楽で表現した楽曲。

ピアノ、マリンバ、アコースティックギター、ハープシコード、リローネ、エレクトリックベース、パーカッション、ドラムなどを使用。動きのあるフレーズや内装デザインから着想した丸みのある音色を組み合わせた、有機的で爽やかな楽曲。

 

#5 / 昼

アコースティックギター、マリンバ、クラリネット、シタール、パーカッション、ベース、ドラムなどを使用。ライムストーンやロームをイメージし、少し砂や石を思わせるシタールのフレーズ、風をイメージしたドラムロールとベースのリズムを組み合わせた、柔らかく、カラフルな楽曲。

 

#6 / 夜

クラリネット、ピアノ、エレクトリックギター、バイオリン、キーボード、エレクトリックベース、ドラム、パーカッションなどを使用。それぞれの音同士の遠近感を持たせつつ、膨らみのある中低音フレーズを織り交ぜた、広がりある落ち着いたトーンの楽曲。

ピアノ、ハープシコード、エレクトリックベース、ドラムなどを使用。少しグルーヴのある数種類のリズムをベースに、外気に当たっているような伸びやかな雰囲気を音楽で表現。前進感のある、清々しい雰囲気の楽曲。

マリンバ、ギロ、ビブラフォン、タンバリン、アップライトベースなどを使用。マリンバのキャッチーなメロディーとドラム＋ベースのリズムを主体に、犬が駆け出したくなるような疾走感のある楽しい雰囲気の楽曲。

 

#9 / 夜

ホンキートンクピアノ、アコースティックギター、エレクトリックシタール、オルガン、エレクトリックベース、ドラム、パーカッションなどを使用。夜風に揺れる木々の音を感じながら、自然豊かな小径を散歩するような雰囲気を音楽で表現。ラテン風のリズムを点在させた、少し跳ねるような軽やかな楽曲。

ピアノ、ベル、アコースティックギター、冬の環境音などを使用。氷柱が落ちるようなピアノのハーモニーや、雪が舞うイメージのベルのディレイなどをイメージした楽曲。また、ホテル周辺の冬の森の環境音や、ホテル周辺の冬鳥（ヤマガラ、マガモ）の鳴き声も取り入れた、冬の午前中の芦ノ湖を思わせる凛とした空気感のある楽曲。

ピアノ、ベル、シタール、バイオリン、マリンバ、アコースティックベース、冬の環境音などを使用。箱根の冬の静寂さや雪景色をイメージし作曲。ベルやビブラフォンで雪が舞い落ちる様を表現。温かみを持たせるようにアコースティックベースのフレーズを下地に入れた。また、ホテル周辺の冬の森の音も入れた、静かで温かみを感じられる楽曲。

エレクトリックピアノ、マリンバ、ウィンドチャイム、クラリネット、サックス、アンディナ、冬の環境音などを使用。箱根の雪の森を散策しているようなイメージの楽曲。エレクトリックピアノの暖かい光のような和音をベースに、冬の風をイメージしたクラリネット、ウィンドチャイムの音色、冬鳥の鳴き声（シジュウカラ、オオバン、カンムリカイツブリ)、氷の音などを使用した、微睡のある雰囲気の楽曲。

マリンバ、アコースティックギター、スティールパン、冬の環境音などを使用。晴れの日の雪に反射した光をイメージし、アコギのハーモニクスやスティールパンのフレーズで反射した光を表現。また、雪を踏む音をリズムにしたり、雪の降る音、ホテル周辺の冬鳥（シジュウカラ、エナガ、オオバン）の鳴き声を取り入れた楽曲。

ビブラフォン、ベル、ベース、ドラム、ピアノ、鈴を使用。箱根のはらりと舞う粉雪や、冬の催しをイメージ。ビブラフォンやピアノの単音を主体に、遠くから聞こえる祭囃子のようなドラムのベースのリズムなどを組み合わせた、少し高揚感のある冬の明るい雰囲気の楽曲。

ピアノ、スティールパン、アコースティックギター、冬の環境音などを使用。窓から映る箱根の雪景色をイメージ。ピアノのリズムのある単音の連弾と、それに組み合わさるスティールパンの音色、冬の枯れ木の落葉をイメージしたアコギのフレーズを用いた、幻想的で澄んだ雰囲気の楽曲。

バイオリン、シンセベース、ホワイトノイズを使用。木々のざわめきや枝を移動する虫を音楽で表現。摘んでいくような単音フレーズと面的なノイズが交差する、生き物のような楽曲。

エレクトリックピアノ、パーカッションを使用。緩やかな夕風を音楽で表現。少し起伏のある音色の柔らかな手触り感のある楽曲。

クラリネット、マリンバを使用。箱根の朝の靄や、朝の光をイメージ。マリンバのトレモロを主体に、クラリネットの短いフレーズを組み合わせた澄んだ空気感のある凛とした雰囲気の楽曲。

エレクトリックピアノ、アコースティックギターを使用。箱根湯本の街の灯りをイメージ。ジャズのコード感を出したエレピのハーモニーとフレーズに、灯りをイメージしたアコースティックギターのハーモニクスを組み合わせた、メロウで抽象的な雰囲気の楽曲。

アコースティックギターを使用。箱根の朝日や、木々から差し込む光と影をイメージ。トレモロ奏法や、和音の残響、アルペジオなど様々な奏法を用いた、朝の静けさ・暖かさやまどろみを表現した楽曲。

バイオリン、スティールパン、アコースティックギターを使用。午後の小鳥の群れの移動や鳴き声などをイメージ。バイオリンのピッチカートのフレーズを軸に、マリンバの細かいパッセージなどを組みわせた、可愛らしい雰囲気の楽曲。

パーカッション、クラリネットなどを使用。箱根の虫や花粉をイメージ。様々なパーカッションの音を組み合わせ、花粉が舞う様子や、虫の移動をイメージしたリズムを組み合わせた、不思議でリズミカルな雰囲気の楽曲。

ビブラフォン、バイオリン、フルートなどを使用。箱根の植物をイメージ。ビブラフォンの残響や、時折見せるフルートのフレーズ、バイオリンのハーモニーなどを組みわせた、まるで箱根の植物たちが歌っているようなイメージで作曲した楽曲。

バイオリン、ピアノ、クラリネットなどを使用。バイオリン、ピアノ、クラリネットファゴットなどを使用。ロープウェーから見える、周辺の森をイメージ。リズムのあるバイオリンのフレーズや、それに絡み合う木管楽器の音色を合わせた、高揚感と抽象的な雰囲気の楽曲。

エントランスの朝昼夜の天井スピーカーの音楽をベースに、各所の小型スピーカーのフレーズや和音、季節の環境音をリミックスした楽曲。

Music for "RETONA HAKONE", a dog-friendly hotel newly opened by Lake Ashi in Hakone.

​​​

The music concepts are "Friendly", "Borderless" and "Natural".
Incorporating frequency ranges and calming tempos suited to dogs’ hearing characteristics, the music also features naturally derived instruments that harmonize with the interior design.

 

The aim was to create an atmosphere unique to this location, balancing an abundance of nature with refined luxury, where both humans and dogs can relax in comfort. Each piece continues to shift out of sync while remaining in harmony, connecting the various spaces and shaping a musical experience in which the boundaries between indoors and outdoors become gently blurred.

 

Additionally, the music played from the small speakers throughout the building, the motion-sensor speakers, and the guest room TVs will be updated in accordance with the four seasons.

The instruments are marimba, clarinet, and acoustic guitar. The music expresses the quiet morning atmosphere of Hakone Shrine and the clarity of the surrounding air, weaving together gently spaced marimba phrases and guitar passages inspired by birdsong to create a calm and peaceful ambiance.

#2 / Daytime 12:00–18:00
The instruments are acoustic guitar, piano, violin, saxophone, and percussion. The music expresses the rich natural surroundings of Lake Ashi, built on transparent harmonies and tones that evoke bright, open air, with occasional flowing phrases that add a sense of movement and expansiveness.

#3 / Evening 18:00–24:00
The instruments are piano, marimba, acoustic guitar, harp, and steelpan. The music expresses the waves and water of Lake Ashi, featuring guitar tremolo that suggests slowly expanding ripples and steelpan phrases that reflect the changing evening colors of the lake, creating a calm and reflective nighttime atmosphere.

The music is inspired by limestone and loam, blending sitar phrases that evoke the texture of sand and stone with drum rolls and bass rhythms reminiscent of wind moving through an open landscape, resulting in a soft and colorful atmosphere.

 

#6 / Evening
The instruments are clarinet, piano, electric guitar, violin, keyboard, electric bass, drums, and percussion. The music creates a calm and expansive tone by incorporating a sense of depth between sounds and weaving in rich mid-low melodic phrases.

The instruments are piano, harpsichord, electric bass, and drums. The music is based on several lightly grooving rhythmic patterns and expresses an open, breezy atmosphere, as if feeling the fresh outdoor air. The piece has a sense of forward motion and a clear, refreshing mood.

The instruments are marimba, guiro, vibraphone, tambourine, and upright bass. The music centers on a catchy marimba melody and a rhythmic　foundation of drums and bass, creating a lively and playful atmosphere with a sense of motion that makes dogs feel like running.

 

#9 / Night
The instruments are honky-tonk piano, acoustic guitar, electric sitar, organ, electric bass, drums, and percussion. The music evokes the feeling of strolling along a nature-filled path while listening to trees rustling in the night breeze. Light Latin-style rhythms are woven throughout, giving the piece a gently bouncing and airy character.

The instruments are piano, bells, acoustic guitar, and winter environmental sounds. The music features piano harmonies reminiscent of falling icicles and delayed bell tones that evoke drifting snow. It also incorporates winter forest ambience from around the hotel and the calls of winter birds such as varied tits and mallards, creating a piece with the crisp, dignified air of a winter morning by Lake Ashi.

 

#11 / A (Sunset)
The instruments are piano, bells, sitar, violin, marimba, acoustic bass, and winter environmental sounds. The music is inspired by the stillness and snowy scenery of winter in Hakone. Bells and vibraphone express softly falling snow, while warm acoustic bass phrases provide a gentle foundation. Subtle winter forest sounds from the hotel surroundings are woven in, resulting in a quiet yet warmly atmospheric piece.

 

#12 / B (Daytime)
The instruments are electric piano, marimba, wind chimes, clarinet, saxophone, andina, and winter environmental sounds. The music evokes the feeling of walking through a snowy forest in Hakone. Warm, glowing chords on electric piano form the base, joined by clarinet tones suggesting winter wind, delicate wind chimes, the calls of winter birds such as great tits, coots, and great crested grebes, and the subtle sounds of ice, creating a softly dreamlike and tranquil atmosphere.

 

#13 / B (Sunset)
The instruments are marimba, acoustic guitar, steelpan, and winter environmental sounds. The music reflects sunlight glinting off snow on a clear day, expressed through acoustic guitar harmonics and steelpan phrases. Rhythms inspired by the sound of footsteps in snow, falling snow ambience, and the calls of winter birds such as great tits, long-tailed tits, and coots are incorporated into the piece.

 

#14 / C (Daytime)
The instruments are vibraphone, bells, bass, drums, piano, and sleigh bells. The music evokes gently falling powder snow in Hakone and the lively feeling of winter festivities. Centered on single-note phrases from vibraphone and piano, it blends with drum and bass rhythms reminiscent of distant festival music, creating a bright winter piece with a subtle sense of uplift.

The instruments are steelpan, acoustic guitar, marimba, organ, glass sounds, and winter environmental sounds. Steelpan phrases inspired by Hakone’s glass craftsmanship, processed glass-like sound textures, and melodic lines with defined phrasing create a refined piece filled with shimmer and elegance.

The instruments are piano, steelpan, acoustic guitar, and winter environmental sounds. The music is inspired by the snowy scenery of Hakone seen through the windows. Rhythmic single-note piano phrases intertwine with the tone of steelpan, alongside acoustic guitar phrases reminiscent of dry winter leaves, forming a clear and dreamlike atmosphere.

The instruments are harpsichord, organ, electric guitar, and winter environmental sounds. The music feels soft and floating, like warm air gently circulating indoors.

The instruments are gut guitar, piano, keyboard, and winter environmental sounds. The music expresses Lake Ashi in the morning, with a quiet depth and a cool, crisp atmosphere.

The instruments are vibraphone, violin, and flute. The music is inspired by the plants of Hakone, combining vibraphone resonance, occasional flute phrases, and violin harmonies, as if the plants themselves were softly singing.

 

#42 / viii (Morning)
The instruments are violin, piano, clarinet, and bassoon. The music is inspired by the surrounding forests as seen from the ropeway, combining rhythmic violin phrases with interweaving woodwind tones to create a piece that blends a sense of uplift with an abstract atmosphere.

 

#43 / viii (Afternoon)
The instruments are piano, electric guitar, percussion, and glass. The music evokes refracted light through glass and the outdoor air, combining delicate ripple-like tones with more active textures to create a floating yet calm atmosphere.
