​

複数の音楽/スピーカーを使った空間デザイン。

株式会社ドレステーブルが手がける、ベーカリー拠点「TruffleBAKERY 南八ヶ岳」の音楽。

​

音楽コンセプトは「水・木・土」「おとぎ話の冒険」「5つの空間」。建築デザインやコンセプト、周辺環境から着想を得て、楽曲制作。八ヶ岳の自然やパンの香りと調和した、穏やかに感覚が研ぎ澄まされる、5つのエリアを回遊したくなるような音楽を目指した。

 

また、それぞれの音楽がズレ続けながらも重なり合い、いる場所によって音楽の聴こえ方が変化したり、歩いていくとグラデーションのように音楽が変化する演出を試みた。

 

＜ベーカリー 天井スピーカー（午前）＞
アコースティックギター、エレクトリックギター、リローネ、シロフォン、サックス、キム、クロンプット、虫笛、パーカッション、小川のせせらぎの音などを使用。天高の高低差による自然残響を活かし、入口側とカウンター側から異なる2種類の楽曲を同時に再生。敷地の背景に広がる八ヶ岳連峰やパンの製造プロセス（こねる、発酵、焼き上げる）、建築デザインのヨーロッパ的な雰囲気を動的な音楽で表現。また、ベーカリー内を小川が流れているようなイメージで環境音を薄く足した。森林や川沿いを歩いているような爽やかさや透明感を感じられる楽曲。

＜ベーカリー 天井スピーカー（午後）＞
ピアノ、エレクトリックピアノ、オルガン、ハープシコード、エレクトリックベース、マンドリン、バイオリン、パーカッション、水が湧き出る音などを使用。天高の高低差による自然残響を活かし、入口側とカウンター側から異なる2種類の楽曲を同時に再生。敷地の背景に広がる八ヶ岳連峰やパンの製造プロセス（こねる、発酵、焼き上げる）、建築デザインのヨーロッパ的な雰囲気を音楽で静的な表現。また、ベーカリー内に水が湧き出ているようなイメージで環境音を薄く足した。静謐で少し神秘的な浮遊感のある楽曲。

＜ベーカリー ライブラリー＞
木管五重奏（ファゴット、フルート、オーボエ、ホルン、クラリネット）、バイオリン、ピアノなどを使用。森の中を冒険するようなワクワク感のある木管五重奏のリズミカルなフレーズをベースに、バイオリンのピッチカートやピアノのフレーズなどを加えた、ドラマティックな雰囲気を感じられる楽曲。

＜カフェ 天井スピーカー（午前）＞
アコースティックギター、バイオリン、クラリネット、カペル、ストルモック、森や水の環境音などを使用。早朝のカフェから見える森のひんやりとした空気感や、光の差し込みをイメージした楽曲。バイオリンの様々なフレーズや奏法で、森の鳥や動物たちの鳴き声を表現し、カペルとストルモックで八ヶ岳の水の流れる音を表現した。また、実際の森の環境音も背景に取り入れることで、外と屋内の境界線を曖昧にしたアンビエントな楽曲。

 

＜カフェ 天井スピーカー（午後）＞
ピアノ、シンセサイザー、バイオリン、マリンバ、カペル、ストルモック、水の環境音を使用。伸びやかで揺らぎのあるフレーズを中心にした、八ヶ岳の水を感じられるような楽曲。午後のまどろみや静寂をイメージした間をとったピアノの和音や、水を弾く音、かき混ぜる音も取り入れ、水面やガラスに反射した水をイメージした抽象的で静かな楽曲。

 

＜カフェ 小型スピーカー #1＞
ピアノ、バイオリン、エレクトリックピアノ、マリンバ、川のせせらぎの環境音などを使用。フレーズの反復や、バイオリンの伸びやかなフレーズ、マリンバのコロコロしたフレーズを取り入れ、川の流れの移ろいを表現した、流れるようで、瞑想的な楽曲。

 

＜カフェ 小型スピーカー #2＞
スティールパン、カペル、マリンバを使用。スティールパンの規則的なフレーズと、マリンバの没入的なアルペジオを使用した、水の中にいるような微睡のある楽曲。

＜カフェ 小型スピーカー #3＞
ウッドベース、ピアノ、マンドリン、砂利や鳥のさえずりの音などを使用。土や木々の質感を音楽で表現。音の間合いをあけた、少し幻想的で穏やかな楽曲。

＜カフェ 小型スピーカー #4＞
ウクレレ、アコースティックギター、タブラ、ウドゥ、シロフォン、木々がざわめく音などを使用。ドラムスティックで弦を叩いた時の反動を使って、風が通る音のような不規則なパターンを作成。遠近感のある、すっきりとした楽曲。

＜エントランスガーデン 小型スピーカー #1＞
ファゴット、バイオリン、アップライトピアノ、カペルを使用。赤煉瓦と森の幻想的な雰囲気・知的な空気感をイメージし、ピアノのアンビエントなニュアンスや、鳥の鳴き声をイメージしたファゴット、バイオリンのピッチカート、時折カペルと川の環境音も聞こえる神秘的な楽曲。

＜エントランスガーデン 小型スピーカー #2＞
エレクトリックギター、オルガン、バイオリン、石琴、スティールパン、バスクラリネットなどを使用。鳥のさえずりや地鳴き、虫の羽音など、山の様々な生き物の音を音楽で表現。様々な断片的フレーズが次々と移り変わっていく、有機的な楽曲。四季折々の周囲の環境音と混ざり合い、完成する。

The music concept is "Water, Wood, Earth", "Fairy Tale Adventures" and "Five Spaces". We composed the songs inspired from the architectural design, concept, and surrounding environment, and aimed for music that harmonizes with the nature of Yatsugatake and the aroma of bread, gently sharpening the senses and inviting visitors to wander through the five distinct areas.

Also, we experimented with an effect where each piece of music continuously shifts yet overlaps, altering how the music sounds depending on your location. As you walk through the space, the music changes like a gradient.

​<Bakery Ceiling Speaker (AM)>
The instruments are acoustic guitar, electric guitar, lirone, xylophone, saxophone, kim, kromput, insect whistle, percussion, and the sound of a babbling brook. Two distinct musical pieces are played simultaneously from the entrance side and the counter side utilizing the natural reverberation created by the ceiling's height variations. The dynamic music expresses the Yatsugatake mountain range stretching across the site's backdrop, the bread-making process (kneading, fermentation, baking), and the European-inspired architectural design. Additionally, we've subtly added ambient sounds to create the impression of a stream flowing through the bakery. The music evokes the refreshing, transparent feeling of walking through a forest or along a river.

<Bakery Ceiling Speaker (PM)>

The instruments are piano, electric piano, organ, harpsichord, electric bass, mandolin, violin, percussion, and the sound of water flowing. Two distinct musical pieces are played simultaneously from the entrance side and the counter side utilizing the natural reverberation created by the ceiling's height variations. The static music expresses the Yatsugatake mountain range stretching across the site's backdrop, the bread-making process (kneading, fermentation, baking), and the European-inspired architectural design. Additionally, we've subtly added ambient sounds to create the impression of a water bubbling up through the bakery. The music is a serene and slightly mysterious piece with a floating sensation.​

<Bakery Library>

The instruments are woodwind quintet (bassoon, flute, oboe, horn, clarinet), violin, piano. A piece with a dramatic atmosphere, built upon a rhythmic woodwind quintet phrase that evokes the thrilling sensation of adventuring through a forest, enhanced with violin pizzicato and piano phrases.

<Cafe Ceiling Speaker (AM)>

The instruments are acoustic guitar, violin, clarinet, kapel, strumok, and ambient sounds of forests and water. The music expresses the cool, crisp air and the light filtering through the forest visible from an early morning cafe. Various violin phrases and techniques express the calls of forest birds and animals, and kapell and strumok express the sound of flowing water in the Yatsugatake Mountains. Additionally, by incorporating actual forest ambient sounds into the background, this ambient track blurs the boundary between outdoors and indoors.

<Cafe Ceiling Speaker (PM)>

The instruments are piano, synthesizer, violin, marimba, kapel, strumok, and ambient water sounds. A piece centered around expansive, undulating phrases that evokes the feeling of water in the Yatsugatake Mountains. Featuring piano chords that create pauses reminiscent of afternoon drowsiness or stillness, along with sounds of water being splashed and stirred, this abstract and tranquil song expresses reflections on water surfaces and glass.

<Cafe Small Speaker #1>

The instruments are piano, violin, electric piano, marimba, and ambient sounds of a babbling brook. A flowing, meditative piece that expresses the shifting currents of a river through repeated phrases, the violin's graceful melodies, and the marimba's rolling, rhythmic patterns.

<Cafe Small Speaker #2>

The instruments are steel pan, kapel, and marimba. A dreamy piece evoking the sensation of being underwater, featuring regular steelpan phrases and immersive marimba arpeggios.

​

<Cafe Small Speaker #3>

The instruments are wood bass, piano, mandolin, the sound of gravel, the sound of birdsong. Expressing the texture of soil and trees through music. A slightly dreamlike and gentle piece with spacious intervals between notes.

<Cafe Small Speaker #4>

The instruments are ukulele, acoustic guitar, tabla, oud, xylophone, and the rustling of trees. Using the rebound from striking the strings with drumsticks to create an irregular pattern resembling the sound of wind passing through. A clean, spacious song with a sense of depth.

​

<Entrance Garden Small Speaker #1>

The instruments are bassoon, violin, upright piano, and kapel. The music expresses the fantastical atmosphere and intellectual air of red brick and forest. A mysterious song featuring ambient piano tones, bird-like bassoon melodies, violin pizzicato, and occasional kapel and river ambient sounds.

<Entrance Garden Small Speaker #2>

The instruments are electric guitar, organ, violin, stone harp, steel pan, bass clarinet. The music expresses the sounds of various mountain creatures—birdsong, the rumble of the earth, the fluttering of insects' wings. An organic song where diverse fragmentary phrases shift and transform one after another. It blends with the surrounding seasonal sounds to reach completion.
